The steel staircase has been installed up to the sixth floor and we are now filling the treads with concrete. Soon after the handrails will be welded in place and both staircases will be complete.

Finally, with a week of surprisingly warm weather we are able to complete our last major pour, the roof!
Insulated tarps are layered over the roof once the concrete is hard enough to walk on. This helps in retaining the high temperatures from the propane heaters on the floor below during the curing process.
All the steel stud framing is complete on the fourth floor. Heating /cooling duct work and electrical wiring installation is in progress. Drywall installation will soon begin.
At the South side of the building scaffolding is assembled along the flood protection wall in preparation for the acrylic stucco work. Hoarding is in progress. This is required so that heat can be maintained for the stucco work.
A natural gas fireplace in the process of being installed. These fireplaces are 85% energy efficient and use outside air for combustion.
Steel framing for the metal roof is near completion.
The building is coming together. Once complete, it will become the first multi-storey condominium built entirely with insulated concrete forms in the city. Because of this and combined with energy efficient triple pane windows, it will also become one of the most energy efficient buildings in Winnipeg.
