With the conclusion of flood protection walls, the parkade walls have now commenced.

The piles for the North parkade wall have been exposed, meanwhile in the background construction of the East wall picks up.
The piles for the North wall have been cut to proper elevation and the footing for the wall is in place.
Concrete is being pumped into the North pakade wall
A massive hydraulic vibrator is brought in to remove the steel I-beams used in forming the temporary retaining wall along the Beaujelais Coulee installed last November.
The vibrator in action! Jaws clamp onto the end of the forty foot I-beam and it is shaken violently while a crane pulls it out of the ground like a hot knife through butter.
The interior piles are being drilled, lifted into place and ready to be driven into the ground. Due to the earth’s composition beneath our site, all of the piles at The Renaissance will be sturdily sitting on bedrock!
“Blueskin” a rubberized waterproofing membrane is being installed to the exterior of the North parkade wall.
The interior piles are getting exposed and the clay for the parkade slab is being excavated to proper elevation. Meanwhile in the background the East parkade wall is about to get filled with concrete.
Pits are being dug for the pile caps
The piles for the North interior parkade wall have been cut to proper elevation meanwhile in the background the boxes for the pile caps are being installed.
The pit for the pile cap has been dug, the piles have been cut to proper elevation and the sleepers are in place to set the pile cap box on.
The box for the pile cap is in place, soon it will be filled with concrete and used to support a column in the parkade.
